For our second installment of the SBG Sessions series, we caught up with singer/songwriter Spencer Walters. Influenced by the likes of Jack Johnson, Ryan Adams and John Mayer, this young artist has a great sound that immediately captures the attention of his listeners. Spencer, who hails from Oswego, Illinois, first began pursuing his solo career in 2011following the break up of his band at the time. After spending the next couple months developing his sound and working on new material, Spencer wrote his breakthrough song “There I Go” which began to shape the feel and eventually became the title track of his debut solo EP. Below you can catch Spencer Walters playing us three of the five tracks from the There I Go EP including City Lights, There I Go and Seven Dollars. In addition to those three tracks, Spencer gave us a taste of some of his newer songs including Ready To Go which you can listen to below. Between songs we got the chance to find out a little more about Spencer, his music background, future plans and much more.
