Divine Fits: For Your Heart

For Your Heart is the standout track amongst all the pretty damn good tracks that make up Divine Fits’ new album. Divine Fits are Britt Daniel of Spoon, Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade, and drummer Sam Brown. I’m unfamiliar with Brown’s past work, but his propulsive drumming here more than proves his worth. Boeckner takes vocal duties, and his emotional take is a nice contrast to his own tense synth work and Daniel’s cool guitar. This track is almost as good as any song from either Boeckner or Daniel’s past bands, and that is saying a lot.
