Since signing to MMG (and leaving that sh!tty situation at Interscope, i.e. the under-shipment of Attention:Deficit), Wale has made a turn upwards in status. His MMG debut sold over 100K first week and spawned two Top 40 hits, but it’s never been that same Wale from 2007-09 that took over the underground scene. “Freedom Of Speech” is somewhat of a return home for the DMV rapper, as lyrcially assassinates No Credit’s fast-paced, soulful, and all-around live beat. Wale delivers some poetic bars ranging from topics of justice, to peace, to bonafide stuntin’. Look for “Freedom Of Speech” to land on Wale’s new project with DJ Clark Kent, Folarin (original huh?), releasing December 24th.
