Segall continues to subverting guitar based genres into one big family of sound, and here he does it with his sometimes-collaborator Charles Moothart. In the past Segall has been labelled garage, punk and indie yet has drawn frequent comparisons to classic rock. These new Fuzz songs will add the metal label to that list, and surprisingly they do so without sounding too different from much of his past output. “Fuzz’s Fourth Dream” heads farther down that path and has some genuine noodling, but at the same time still has a punk rock immediacy. So yeah, enjoy more Segall-Rock.
